1654 Trois-Rivieres, Que.: Marguerite Sedilot, age 11 years, five months, vows to marry Jean Aubuchon, in a contract before a notary; they will be married by a priest on April 12, 1655 in Montreal; supposedly the youngest bride in Canadian history; such contracts were common when there was a premium on females in the colony.
