Mrs. deLay died Dec. 10, 1994, of a heart attack. She was 73.
Born Jan. 14, 1921, in Portland, she lived in Anchorage, Alaska, for a short time.
She graduated from Franklin High School, attended Marylhurst College, and graduated as a
registered nurse from Emanuel Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. ''Dooley'' worked in
hospitals, nursing and convalescent homes in Portland, Milwaukie, and Oregon
City until retiring this year.
She married Allan J. deLay, a staff photographer at The Oregonian on Aug. 28, 1945.
Survivors include her husband, of Milwaukie; son, Paul J., of Portland; daughters, Laura deLay
Morris, of Santa Maria, Calif., and Donna R., of Portland; brother, Fred I. White, of Bandon,
and two grandchildren.
Disposition by cremation, with private interment.
